I do support Inksome, but I'm not sure that you're going about this the right way. Essentially, you're asking us to pay you thirty dollars an hour—Not donate. It's not out of kindness or so on. . . You're asking us to be your employer. I'm sure people are willing to give out of the kindness of their hearts, but this isn't the way to go about it. . .

I'm asking you to donate money to keep the site afloat. That money will be used to pay for my expenses (and if you look at the project page, 50% of that money goes to Sourceforge and the Python Software Foundation) so that I can devote time to maintaining the site. Paid account revenue will continue to go towards paying the site's hosting expenses.
Also, I'm offering you something in return for your donations - my time, which is what we need to redevelop the site.
Then, please, take the time to explain it. I'm merely addressing how the wording of this sounds, because I don't want anyone to be turned off from Inksome.
I understand that you're trying to run a very legitimate business, and I endorse that. I believe you gave me too much time for my paid account, because I paid at the regular rate rather than the promotion that was going on. But I said to consider that a donation. I may be wrong in the amount of time I was given, but it really does emphasize that you're trying to to do right. I would like others to take notice of actions like that—It proves that we're clearly dealing with people, not corporations that see us as dollar bills. . .
Which is why this is discomforting. I would personally support you using the money from paid accounts for various site-related functions, paying for servers, employees, and so on. I think this would be highly understandable for the userbase as you clearly need more to run this site with than the kindness of your heart. That's completely understandable. I put my money forward to support the concept, site, and so on, rather than wanting a paid account, to be honest. So. . . I hope you understand my sentiments a bit better.

I do understand where you're coming from. The idea behind asking for donations separately from paid accounts is so that I can leave the paid account money in the bank and use it to "keep the lights on", so to speak.
I respect and trust in your decisions on all these issues. Best of luck with the donations and whatever situations are occurring in your life.

Thank you. Does this post address the concerns you've raised?
You're welcome. It clarifies, but it doesn't dispel them entirely. I am simply trusting in your integrity which you've shown before.

I appreciate that. Is there anything I could add to address those concerns more completely?
No, I'm afraid not, but when I have some spare cash, I'll look into donating some.

I appreciate that.
If I weren't completely broke I would gladly donate money to Inksome. Is there anything else I can do to help out?
